World of Tanks version 8.0 Teaser Trailer revealed

It has not been a week since our last news about a video and discussion on Patch 8.0 for World of Tanks and we already have a teaser trailer! What is so special about it? It showcases the physics. To me that is a priceless experience. Those tanks speeding down slopes, hopping on small “bumps”, smashing into each other in mid-air, and being forced to their side? This is a new level of World of Tanks I was not familiar with. Whether this dream will meet reality we have yet to see, but I have high hopes for version 8.0, and I hope I will not be disappointed.

The big question which dwells on my mind is how much will the physics influence balance? It is becoming apparent that being capable of forcing enemies down ledges is a new weapon that might not qualify as a gun or armor class. Will it offer new life to some tanks? Will other tanks become simply invincible? We have yet to see. For now, let us keep our eyes open for more news, and await with open arms this great upcoming Patch.

Let us of course not forget about the other upcoming changes in Patch 8.0. Modified maps, improved rendering, more details and delicate touches to the maps. Of course, I should not forget about the new Soviet tanks that are to be introduced, but until my Tiger I gets wings and a bomb compartment I refuse to write anything more! (Not really) Which also reminds me, I am taking part in the World of Warplanes Closed Beta, so expect a first impressions article soon (thus far, I am absolutely dazzled).

Also, does anybody else notice Dubstep playing in the background later on in the clip? I am under the impression that it’s being played absolutely everywhere these days. Not that I mind, but when did it gain so much “power”?

See you on the battlefield!
