World of Tanks Patch 7.4: More Juicy Details

We knew that French tanks would appear in Patch 7.4. What we did not know were all the other great things that are planned to be released together with Patch 7.4 for World of Tanks. The patch might be as explosive as that which introduced the US tank tree, or the French tanks. What else then should we expect?

How to play the Tiger – Video

When life gives you lemons you make lemonade. When life gives you an 88mm cannon you turn perfectly functional tanks into wrecks. I recall how in the Beta the Tiger I would be called one of the weakest Heavy tanks in the game. When the Tiger P came out this thought was further reinforced. Why would you play a Tiger I when there are so many better tanks?

As you can see here, one does not simply encounter a Tiger and live to tell the tale.

Special World of Tanks T-34 Promotion.

This month World of Tanks focuses our attention on the T-34, the workhorse of the Soviet Union. Produced from 1940 onwards it was one of the best Medium Tank designs in the world. Not only did it introduce sloped plating but its simple design and ease of production allowed for it to dominate the field with numbers. Although the T-34/85 was modified to hold a crew of five (the first version held only a crew of four), gained a more sizeable gun and thicker plating it was no match for the Panther tank which was introduced by the Germans in 1942. However, the Panther suffered its own flaws and mechanical failures, while the T-34 was flawless.

The T-34. A good battle tank, but also useful for organising field trips to the city.

What does the future hold for the French? World of Tanks Patch 7.4

Patch 7.3 for World of Tanks was not yet released, yet there is word already of Patch 7.4. What we know for certain is that Patch 7.4 will include French Tank Destroyers and Self Propelled Guns. Although as of yet we have no details of what will be released we have access to the Full French Tank-Tree, and as such we can already tell what might be introduced into the game soon. Another small tit-bit that was mentioned was a possible change to the VK4502(P) Ausf.B, but as the developers states it is as yet unknown if this will occur in patch 7.4 or a later one.

Meeting of the Grouch and Tiger. German Premium SPG speculation.

The World of Tanks team adds more and more tanks with each upcoming Patch. I still remember the humble beginnings of the simple “linear” German and Soviet tank trees. Today, together with more nations being introduced, there is much more complexity and choice. But the choice is not only limited to tanks you can research, but also the Premiums. In this article I would wish to focus on two Premium SPGs which will be added to the Germans (check the German Tank Tree here), some time in the future. The Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär (it means Grouch, not Bear) and Sturmpanzer VI Sturmtiger.

World of Tanks Patch 7.3 Trailer and details.

Hello Tankers!

Just hours ago wargaming.net revealed a new trailer of the upcoming Patch 7.3. It shows some of the new Soviet tanks: KV-1, KV-2 (there is no loner just a KV tank), T-150, KV-4, ST-I and T-10. Two new maps, Dragon Ridge (Asian style map) and South Coast (feels like Greece/Italy), are also extensively shown. What is not shown in the Video, but stated in the relevant development article, are two new Premium French tanks: the 10.5 сm leFH18 B2 Tier 4 SPG (looks more or less like this), and the FCM 36 Pak 40 Tier 3 tank destroyer. The Patch is said to be released near the end of April.
