War Thunder: Flying a Plane During Ground Forces Battles

During Ground Forces battles it is the tanks that complete the vast majority of key objectives, thus allowing their team to win. That does not mean that planes have no role themselves. In fact I would say that they may easily turn the tide of battle, with a single bomb. However, flying a fighter or bomber during these battles is not easy. While you might have plenty of experience with flying in the air from Arcade, Historical and Simulation battles Ground Forces Battles take on a different, somewhat more complicated, angle on things and here we will discuss the hazards of flying during Ground Forces battles.

This is what my plane flying tends to look like during Ground Forces battles.

War Thunder: Ground Forces – 10 Survival Tips

Surviving in War Thunder as a tanker can be a bit of a challenge. There are a few reasons for that. The enemy could get the drop on you, you do not have the experience to use your tank effectively, while hiding in a suitable location a plane flies in and bombs you. Even this short while of playing in War Thunder offered me plenty of insight when it came fighting and surviving Ground Force battles. Of course, that does not mean I stopped having unfortunate incidents, associated with flanking T-34s, or diving IL-2s, but I feel a bit more confident now, than I was when I started off. As such, I would like to share some of my knowledge with you, regarding Ground Force battles, so that you can survive just a bit better and longer.

War Thunder

While the Tiger is a legend it will face all manner of tanks in War Thunder that are a real threat to it. Do not expect an easy time with it.

War Thunder – On Tanks

After seeing those tanks Screenshots for War Thunder I sat back and waited for further updates on tanks. Then came the second update with more tank screenies, but that felt like a Starbound update, meaning, “Nothing substantial, we are still working on it.” It was not until today that one of our readers (iamthelol) pointed out that there are already gameplay videos of tanks from War Thunder. How did this get past me? I stopped focusing on War Thunder, since there were many other things on my mind after the period of the past month. So if you too did not look into recent War Thunder news, here is the scoop.

War Thunder: The Guide to Stukas

The Stuka is one of the major symbols of the German Blitzkrieg during World War 2. It is a Dive Bomber which had one denoting feature, the siren. When the Stuka dived in for the kill there would be a terrorizing wail accompanying it, causing panic. As stated, the Stuka is a Bomber, and while historically it had a wider selection of possible bomb load-outs in War Thunder the choice in Stuka Bombs depends more on the model, rather than your “unlocks”. In this Guide we will explore the different Stuka Models available in War Thunder, together with their respective strengths and weaknesses.

The Stuka G-1 or G-2. You can identify them by the oddly shaped cannons.

War Thunder: I Love This Game

Another day, another Free to Play MMO… Although is this technically an MMO? Hard to tell. War Thunder is what one could call “World of Tanks”, but with Planes instead of tanks. Both War Thunder and War of Warplanes were announced more or less at the same time and I had the pleasure of playing both games. Now, I know it will be very hard not to compare World of Warplanes and War Thunder, especially since both are in their respective Betas. While I enjoyed World of Warplanes I enjoy War Thunder much more and in this article I will tell you why.

Somebody is about to get a nasty surprise…
