Skyrim Mods You Should Try

Skyrim has so many different Mods for itself, one can get completely lost and confused as to which ones should be installed, and which ones abandoned and forgotten. While I might not be the most hard-core user of Skyrim Mods there has been an extensive list of them that I did use and that I would like to recommend.

The Mods come in different categories, those that you should consider essential and those that are optional (or enhance a specific type of gameplay). This list is still a work in progress. If you have suggestions of your own please post them in the comments!

Don’t Escape 2 – How will you survive?

Don’t Escape 2 is the “sequel” to Don’t Escape 1, created by the Scriptwelder, who is also known for his series Seep Sleep. It’s a flash game that combines two or even three different gaming genre. It’s a point and click adventure game, a zombie-survival game as well as a bit of a management game. The mechanics are similar to those in Don’t Escape 1, which essentially means looking for/clicking at things with your mouse, trying to figure out how to combine some items with other items, and in what order, so that you have the best chance of survival. I am reviewing this game because with the large number of different zombie games out there, especially recent titles, this was the one that caught the most of my attention, and I will tell you why.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 – Teaser Trailer

In case you had any doubts whether Five Nights at Freddy’s Creator, Scott Cawthon, was working on the third installment of what was considered one of the scariest games of 2014 then there is now at least some official proof of it. A teaser trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 was released, showing a fragment of the new security room and what we may guess is the Golden Freddy, in a rather terrifying form.

5 Idle Games You Should Try

Usually when you engage in a Video Game you need a constant input. In Action games you keep clicking, in strategy games you keep strategizing and in puzzle games you keep thinking. What of Idle Games then? Why does a game that is all about not playing the game so fun? Sometimes it’s the design, other times it’s the idea alone that appeals to us. There are many different Idle Games, and while I cannot honestly tell you which one was the first, or which of them are the best I do have a few titles for you that you should try.

Sometimes the world revolves around one massive cookie.

Unturned – Early Access Preview

When myself and my friends decided it was time for a gaming night I remembered watching Yamimash playing a game called Unturned. Graphically the game was not impressive, but when the video started off with Yami and the gang driving around in a car, looking for supplies I wanted to give it a go as well. So, we downloaded the game (it was only 50 MBs in download size) ran it without a hitch and jumped face first into the world of cubes and zombies. So, was it worth the three or four hours we spent playing it? Is it still fun now as it was back then?

While this screeny was staged you should normally way more zombies chasing after you.

The Moon Silver – A Short Story in Video Game Format

Over the years Video Games have been more and more often used as a way of telling stories in novel ways. Moon Silver is another one of such stories. Rather than focusing on quick-paced gameplay or flashy graphics it tries to tell us a story, but there is a certain catch. Moon Silver does not tell you the whole story, instead it gives you numerous pieces and you have to gather them up to then realise what exactly has happened, and perhaps most importantly learn who the character is. I have decided to approach this review as one would approach a book or a piece of art, I will focus on the story itself, how it was presented and only interfere or interject where something has clearly broken my sense of immersion.

War Thunder: Flying a Plane During Ground Forces Battles

During Ground Forces battles it is the tanks that complete the vast majority of key objectives, thus allowing their team to win. That does not mean that planes have no role themselves. In fact I would say that they may easily turn the tide of battle, with a single bomb. However, flying a fighter or bomber during these battles is not easy. While you might have plenty of experience with flying in the air from Arcade, Historical and Simulation battles Ground Forces Battles take on a different, somewhat more complicated, angle on things and here we will discuss the hazards of flying during Ground Forces battles.

This is what my plane flying tends to look like during Ground Forces battles.

War Thunder: Ground Forces – 10 Survival Tips

Surviving in War Thunder as a tanker can be a bit of a challenge. There are a few reasons for that. The enemy could get the drop on you, you do not have the experience to use your tank effectively, while hiding in a suitable location a plane flies in and bombs you. Even this short while of playing in War Thunder offered me plenty of insight when it came fighting and surviving Ground Force battles. Of course, that does not mean I stopped having unfortunate incidents, associated with flanking T-34s, or diving IL-2s, but I feel a bit more confident now, than I was when I started off. As such, I would like to share some of my knowledge with you, regarding Ground Force battles, so that you can survive just a bit better and longer.

While the Tiger is a legend it will face all manner of tanks in War Thunder that are a real threat to it. Do not expect an easy time with it.

Team Fortress 2 – Expiration Date

Valve never ceases to surprise me with their shenanigans, and this time they hit a jackpot, at least with my funny bone. Expiration Date is a short film that was released on the 17th of June 2014, featuring all of Red Team. The Plot is simple, Red Team return from a successful mission and while resting the Engineer and Medic make a shocking discovery. Apparently the teleporters they used to this point caused massive tumors (this conclusion coming from what happened to bread that was teleported) and that the team had only three days left to live. In between this is a another plot of the Scout trying to ask out Miss Pauling for a date (the Administrator’s assistant) but will he succeed? Who knows?

The Gambling Games of Video Games

While different Video Games might include their own versions of popular gambling games as well as the original “core” versions, with slight modifications, we can see a number of different gambling games, or forms of risk taking, that are most commonly found through numerous titles. We have discussed in previous articles the reason why gambling appear in video games, and we did offer a few examples of their general utility, in relation to the story and the gameplay mechanic as a whole. In this article we will take a quick glance at the different most popular Gambling Games and mechanics that we typically find in Video Games.
